Gatsby Café

Monti, Esquilino & San Lorenzo

There's good reason why the friendly bartenders here all wear flat caps, feather-trimmed trilbys and other traditional gents' hats: this fabulous 1950s-styled space with vintage furniture and flashes of geometric wallpaper was originally a milliner's shop called Galleria Venturini. Delicious spritz, craft cocktails, gourmet panini and taglieri (salami and cheese platters) make it a top aperitivo spot.

Don't miss the intimate lounge on the 2nd floor, where live jazz gigs are sometimes staged, and the vintage hat collection displayed behind glass on the 1st floor.
