This venerable hostel at the top of the Gran Sasso funivia (cable car) has a small bar offering coffee and cakes as well as a casual sit-down restaurant cooking up pasta, soups and sizeable mains, or – if you're in a hurry – doorstep-sized cheese and ham sandwiches.
