If you eat only one sweet treat in Naples (good luck with that!), make it Mennella's spectacular frolla al limone, a shortbread pastry filled with heavenly lemon cream. Just leave room for the mignon (bite-size) version of its sciù (choux pastry) with crema di nocciola (hazelnut cream). Before you go feeling guilty, remember that everything is free of preservatives and artificial additives.

Mennella also makes its own almond milk, a sweet, refreshing must for lovers of marzipan flavour. If you're more in the mood for a cold treat, you'll find a branch of Mennella's exceptional gelateria across the street at number 45.
