Trieste does do glamour and this bar, which convivially spills out into the alley beside it, attracts a slightly older, very well-put-together crowd come Friday and Saturday evening. There are lots of bottles of sparkling doing the rounds, and this being Trieste, the big wooden platters of stuzzichini – bread topped with all kinds of pork – are not far behind them.
