Academy Hostel

Top choice

This classy hostel – definitely not a party hostel – sits on the 1st floor of Baron Ricasoli's 17th-century palazzo. The inviting lobby, with books to browse, was once a theatre and is a comfy spot to chill on the sofa over TV or a DVD. Dorms sport four, five or six beds, high moulded ceilings and brightly coloured lockers.

There is a small kitchen, washing machine and the bijou outdoor terrace is summer-time perfect. Rooms are closed for daily cleaning between 11am and 2.30pm.
