Modena's businesslike HI hostel has 76 beds in single-sex dorms and family units. Pluses include the convenient location between the train station and downtown Modena, a guest kitchen and cafe/bar, disabled access, large lockers, spacious and uncrowded rooms (maximum three beds per dorm) and a bike-storage area. Each room also has a private bathroom, though not inside the room.
