Bologna's best time: parking yourself, with an Aperol spritz (€4) in hand, among the cool kids and digital nomads at these formerly abandoned city greenhouses. They have been transformed into an immensely cool and highly recommended co-working space, vegetarian/vegan restaurant (Vetro) and community gardens in the heart of Giardini Margherita, the city's largest green space.
It's a potpourri of hipsters with dogs, vegan anarchists, skateboarding economists and expat artists. Reserve ahead for the restaurant (mains €9 to €14).
