Rifugio Nuvolau

Veneto Dolomites

This is the oldest refuge in the Dolomites. It was established in 1883, and little has changed since those days. Perched atop Mt Nuvolau, the 24-bed accommodation has no hot water or showers and serves only basic food. However, it offers an utterly authentic mountain experience and unforgettable views of Passo Giau and Marmolada. Disposable sleeping bags cost €6.
