Located in Sasso Caveoso, the family-owned Corte San Pietro is one of Matera's most comfortable boutique hotels. Each room is a different shape and size, designed to fit the idiosyncratic cave location, and the shadow and light interplay of the interior is sometimes used to showcase interesting art installations.
