Locally known as Johnny Joe's, this rhubarb-coloured pub is the town's liveliest. The original ground-floor bar was built in the 1800s; behind it is a tiny lounge dominated by an old range cooker. There are regular trad-music sessions and great craic. The excellent restaurant Upstairs at Joes (mains £13 to £22) serves modern Irish dishes and daily seafood specials.
