This 200-year-old stone-built cottage, brightly painted in sunshine yellow and strawberry pink, serves up a tantalising menu of homemade soups, scones, and sweet and savoury pancakes, all freshly prepared to order; old favourites such as lemon and sugar sit alongside more adventurous flavourings like Gorgonzola, spinach, chopped nuts and maple syrup. Good coffee and hot chocolate too.
