Dating from 1781, this six-storey-high stone lighthouse has octagonal rooms with 1m-thick walls and arched windows providing views of the Wicklow Mountains and the Irish Sea, which surrounds it on three sides. Below the top-floor kitchen (reached by 109 stairs; no lift) are two bedrooms, a lounge room and bathroom. Note there's no TV or wi-fi. The minimum stay is two nights.
