Restored by the owners of the Conyngham Arms, this spectacular manor house and orangery on 32 hectares 10km northwest of Slane dates from the 18th century. Its evening restaurant, Brabazon, is its centrepiece, with exquisite dishes such as smoked wood pigeon or wild mushroom ravioli with black truffle and Parmesan foam; casual lunches are served in its 'garden village'.
Eggs come from its own hens, with vegetables sourced from its polytunnels and gardens. The kids' menu will impress junior gourmands. Accommodation is available in the manor and courtyard cottages (double/suite/cottage from €167.50/180/105), but book well ahead as it's a popular wedding venue.
