Overflowing inside and out with bric-a-brac – milk cans, lanterns, antlers, church pews, crockery, street signs, barrels, bellows, bank notes and even tables dangling upside down from the ceiling – Fitzpatrick's is a locally patronised treasure with fantastic craic. Excellent pub fare (mains €15.50 to €36) includes steak, seafood, award-winning chowder and 'almost-famous French-onion soup'; book ahead for lunch or dinner.
The flower-filled, umbrella-shaded beer gardens and petting zoo with resident braying donkeys are positively hopping on sunny days. Traditional Irish music strikes up frequently of an evening. There are kids' and babies' menus.
