Dzogchen Beara

Beara Peninsula

Solitude and sea views set the mood at the remote Dzogchen Beara meditation centre, where a Buddhist temple is under construction (scheduled for completion in 2020). Accommodation (open to all) is available in self-catering cottages with wood-burning stoves overlooking the Atlantic, or in a homely farmhouse hostel; there's a good cafe here too. It's 9km southwest of Castletownbere.

The retreat runs seminars and workshops, and guests can attend meditation sessions.
