The Roadside offers pure Clare craic. Third-generation owner Peter Curtin proudly presides over trad sessions, which play nightly in summer and on Friday and Saturday evenings in winter. Peter also kick-started the in-house Burren Brewery, which makes superb gold lagers, red ales and stout that's best sampled along with the tavern's award-winning food.
Fish from the nearby Burren Smokehouse is incorporated in dishes, which are served between March and October (mains from €13; noon to 4pm and 6pm to 9pm Monday to Friday, noon to 9pm Saturday and Sunday).
