Stone walls, exposed beams, timber panelling and a wood stove make this thatched cottage as enchanting inside as it is out. But the real reason to book is for some of Ireland's most magnificent seafood, such as saffron-infused John Dory with samphire, whole Dover sole, or garlicky hot buttered crab claws. The set meals (two/three courses €32/37) are excellent value.
The adjacent JP Clarke's Country Pub serves lunch and dinner daily, and has an extensive gin, whiskey and craft-beer selection.
