This tiny, traditional thatched roadside pub with flagstone floors and ancient benches is the real deal. There's no TV or radio or even a hint of a ham-and-cheese toastie, just plenty of craic; music sessions are held here on Fridays at 10pm.
It's set back from the road and easy to miss: look for the sign with a finger pointing left off the R319 as you exit the village of Cashel, heading west.
