Haji Baba Restaurant

Shiraz

The friendly waiters at this tiny, attractively decorated restaurant in a busy part of town certainly earn their wages, rushing upstairs to serve a constant stream of customers. The khoresht-e mast (a strange concoction of lamb, yoghurt, egg, saffron, sugar and orange peel, often eaten as a dessert) is a favourite with locals – men sit downstairs, women and families upstairs.
