Victory Hotel

A very friendly family-run place with a wide choice of (ageing) rooms, from cell-like cheapies to spacious options with hot water. Most travellers happily end up here, thanks to the excellent info (maps are provided) and social areas. The owners can also sort out motorbikes, recommend good guides and do laundry. Wi-fi only really works in the public area.
