Twenty kilometers southwest of Tentena, this isolated place is something of a time warp; its spacious, comfortable timber cottages are complete with original 1980s decor, and there's no wi-fi. However, its location on a lovely, unspoiled lakeside beach more than compensates for the lack of modernity. The staff is eager to please and the hotel's restaurant is adequate.
Call ahead and the owners will pick you up for free from Tentena; if you stay a couple of nights, they'll drop you back there, too.
