Salassa Guest House

Top choice in South Sulawesi

This family-run institution has six cheap rooms with shared mandi upstairs, and four sparkling bungalows with outdoor showers out back. However, the highlight is the exceedingly helpful owners who are fluent in English and understand backpackers; unfortunately, they were keen on selling when we last visited. Until they do, at least hit up the restaurant – the best in town.
