Macfarlane Church

This handsome 1891 church was severely damaged by a 2011 earthquake, when pinnacles from its tower came crashing to the ground. After renovations, the church reopened for services in 2013. Its wood-buttressed Gothic interior is a wonderful place to spend a few moments in quiet contemplation. If it's closed, a couple of pavilions outside are worthy substitutes.
