While Kausani Tea Estate – a tea plantation that involves private enterprise, the government and local farmers – has recently shifted its production factory 35km away, you can still take a stroll around its plantation and there's a small chai stall to sample the local tea that's otherwise exported around the world. You can also buy it from the shops across the road. It’s 3.5km north of Kausani on the road to Baijnath.
