Gorakhpur's hippest choice is this new, fresh and well-run 17-room place decorated with designer touches and colourful pop art. There's little in the way of natural light or communal seating areas, but the smallish rooms are comfortable and have walk-in showers, and the ground-floor restaurant (mains ₹250) is a great refuge for coffee and Western food.
