Four comfortable, rustic cottages along with a cosy cafe space and open-sided yoga 'temple' are layered up a steep, rural hillside just across a footbridge from central Jibhi. Owner BS Rana is a passionate eco-advocate, champion anti-dam campaigner and grows virtually all the produce needed for the cottages.
From 2020 he plans a 'Primitive Way' residential program to teach a plethora of traditional skills, from vegetable oil making through local food and foraging for ethnobotanical medical plants. There's also a mini-museum of local artefacts along with trekking and travel service: ask about day hikes to the roadless, ridge-top village of Serthi.
