Ramada Amritsar

This grand-looking hotel is the only top-end option in the old city. The lobby is somewhat chintzy, but rooms are smart and modern, and the service is excellent. It's walking distance from the Golden Temple, and there's a lovely rooftop pool with fabulous views of the old city.
