La Maison de Ananda

Assam

This popular guesthouse has a variety of rooms ranging from an appealing bamboo-stilt cottage decked out in local fabrics to budget rooms where hot water comes by the bucket, plus a newer concrete block with comfortable AC rooms. It's run by a friendly tribal family, and the kitchen cooks up a range of good food including tasty Mishing dinners (₹350).

They have bicycles (₹100 per day) and scooters (₹500) for rent, and can arrange folk dance shows for ₹2000.
