Agoratoli Resort overlooks paddy fields fringing the national park's eastern Agoratoli range, whose gate is just 900m away. The seven appealing rooms and family bungalows are constructed chiefly from bamboo, thatch, mud and timber, and there's an airy restaurant and sitting area. The 'jungle plan' tariff includes all meals and two safaris daily. Book ahead through email or online.
The lodge has a strong sustainability ethic, eschewing air-conditioning and bottled water (free filtered water is available), relying on local labour and promoting community development in Kaziranga's fringe villages. It's located 5km north off NH715 (old NH37), from a signed turning 14km east of Kohora.
