Right by Madla gate, MP Tourism's Jungle Camp had just been renovated when we passed by and the results are impressive. Accommodation is in large, timber-lined jungle lodges splayed with tiger murals. The rooms feature exposed stone walls and wooden flourishes, have comfortable beds and sofas, and great bathrooms.
From the room terraces you can peer straight over the bougainvillea hedge into the park. The in-house restaurant serves reasonable Indian meals (mains around ₹200).
