High up on the hill overlooking the river and the island, this MP Tourism property has rooms in two separate blocks. Those in the older block are well past their best but still better than anywhere else in town. Those in the new block (same price) are very smart, with dark wood furniture and starched white sheets.
The restaurant (7am to 10am, 11.30am to 3pm, 7pm to 10.30pm) is also the best in town with a big choice of Indian and continental dishes.
