For high-quality Kullu shawls and other handloom-woven goods at fixed prices, without the hard sell, head to the nearest branch of Bhuttico, the Bhutti Weavers’ Cooperative. Established in 1944, Bhuttico has numerous showrooms including one at Kullu bus stand and this bigger, more appealing one at Akhara Bazar.
To see the weavers at work (Monday to Saturday only), you might prefer to head 8km south of Kullu to the big factory showroom at Bhutti Colony.
