The six rooms tucked into this 19th-century rust-red heritage home are enormous and filled with antique furniture, but most guests come for the Mappila (Muslim) cuisine and the famous cooking classes (₹3000) overseen by Mrs Faiza Moosa. A visit to the local market is part of the culinary experience. Book well ahead. Thalasseri is 20km southeast of Kannur.
