Jigmat Couture

Leh

Ladakh's first home-grown fashion house uses local design as starting inspiration and sources much of its raw material from nomadic herders. This is the kind of cool ethnic clothing you could actually wear back home.

While prices are high by Ladakhi standards (around ₹9000), they're very reasonable compared with international fashion boutiques. Highlights include woollen clutch bags (₹12,000), new twists on old Ladakhi robes, and attractive linen tops.
