Café Budan

Mcleod Ganj

Relax with good coffee or choose from a dozen varieties of leaf-tea, serenaded by jazzy blues (think Etta James) under low-wattage ball-bulb lights in this enticing mini-cafe.

Its little library contains at least five different editions of Lonely Planet India that you can peruse from your wicker chair while dining on items from the all-day breakfast menu. The name Budan comes from a Sufi holy man who, legend relates, smuggled the first coffee beans to India from Yemen.
