Anand Guest House

Manali

A cult backpacker retreat, this large family guesthouse is set in orchards just two minutes' walk off the main Old Manali strip. Rooms set off south-facing balconies aren't luxurious but are very clean and have extra curtained baggage/changing areas. The open yoga terrace has super views. Fluent-English-speaking owner Anand is a former guide who's very traveller-savvy.

In season there's a small chill-out room and rough-and-ready garden pavilion beside the fire pit.
