Asiatic Lion Lodge

Top choice in Gujarat & Diu

Set in large grounds with lots of trees and birds, this peaceful lodge is around 6km west of Sasan Gir and far enough away from any village to be deliciously quiet. Accommodation consists of bungalow-style, tastefully decorated rooms with thatched roofs. Food is excellent vegetarian and in the evenings there are open-air screenings of an interesting documentary on the lions of Gir.

Daily nature and bird walks are available, and there are bikes for hire.
