Not at all like a palace, but a great-value find just the same, this compact and modern four-storey hotel has small rooms with desks, spotted curtains and glitter-splotched walls. The shirt-and-tie-wearing staff are helpful, and the location, right at the point where the most atmospheric part of town starts, couldn't be better.
