Just north of Chowgan junction beside the road to Old Bir, Colonel's is an overgrown boutique homestay-hotel set in spacious south-facing gardens layered down to active stables. The highly comfortable deluxe rooms have big soft beds, large bathrooms with branded toiletries, Tibetan rugs, and well-made wooden furniture. A row of newly built cabin-rooms share a spotless communal bathroom block.
There are also two cheaper 'standard' ensuite rooms (single/double ₹2200/3300).
