Rooms here are straightforward, clean and well maintained, with hot showers. What's special is the beautiful pine-and-bamboo house with spacious verandahs – it all overlooks the lush garden, orchards, fish ponds, forests and the owner's rice fields. It's 4km south of Aalo and a great stop if you're touring by car. It fills up during the peak season (Oct-Feb): book ahead.
There's free rice beer and a big traditional Galo kitchen where you can take good meals (veg/non-veg ₹350/450) around the fireplace, with local Galo dishes available.
