Tjöruhúsið

Top choice in Ísafjörður

Set in a building from 1781, warm, rustic Tjöruhúsið offers some of the best seafood around. The set-course, serve-yourself dinner includes soup, catches of the day (fresh off the boat from the nearby harbour), and dessert such as chocolate mousse. There's outdoor seating on benches when it's sunny. Dinner starts promptly at 7pm and they're deservedly popular, so book in advance.
