Grímsstaðir

North Iceland

Highland farm Grímsstaðir lies 28km south of Dettifoss near the junction with the Ring Road. An old farmhouse contains sleeping-bag accommodation (per person 6000kr), and the farmer's own house offers three double rooms with made-up beds. There's camping in the fields by a brook.

It's been reported that much of this farm sold to British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe in 2016. As of the time of research, it still functions as a guesthouse.
