Hotel Palazzo Zichy

Once the sumptuous 19th-century residence of the aristocrat Nándor Zichy and his family, the 'palace' has been transformed into a lovely hotel, with its original features such as wrought-iron banisters blending seamlessly with the ultramodern decor. The 80 rooms, all charcoals and creams, are enlivened by red-glass-topped desks, and the showers are terrific. Sauna and fitness room in the cellar crypt.
