This memorable, Dutch-run place boasts immaculately clean and good-value rooms set off shady paths that meander through the hotel’s leafy plot, perched on the hillside under the town's fortress. All plants are labeled, and woodpeckers and hummingbirds are frequently seen. Rooms 13 and 14 share a gorgeous patio area with stellar town views, while the five-bed dorm is great value.
The in-house restaurant is one of the best in town. Tourist information is excellent, tours are available and it's all operated on environmentally friendly principles.
