Omega Lodge

Top choice in Honduras

A beautifully conceived and constructed ecolodge, Omega is surrounded by thick jungle, which means it doesn't have views. But it is very thoughtfully conceived: solar power, a chemical-free pool and ecofriendly waste-management are all at the heart of the lodge's philosophy. The owners are experts of rafting on the Río Cangrejal and offer many excellent trips. Food is outstanding, with plentiful vegetarian choices.

The lodge is going more upscale but will keep at least one backpacker room with shared bathroom (single/double L500/1000).
