Chato Relaxo

Top choice in Haiti

The Mangs family has lived in Labadie since the 1970s, and their love for the area is clearly apparent in this cliffside bungalow, constructed from repurposed building material from colonial-era forts. The balcony offers 180-degree views, and Dillon Mangs can organize boats to Île-à-Rat, Kadras and other idyllic spots. Dinners of Haitian specialties can be arranged for US$30 per person.

The bungalow sleeps up to three, and is deservedly popular: book well in advance.
