Villa Sumaya

Linked to Santa Cruz by a lovely lakeside trail, this holistic arts sanctuary holds a suitably secluded corner of the bay at Paxanax. Like a village, the various thatched rooms, bungalows and massage huts climb a hillside, with a natural foods cafe, swimming pools and a fabulous deck at the lakefront. Week-long group retreats are held in a pair of temples.
