Stafylos

Hidden away on a side street in the Palaia district, very close to the train station, this friendly taverna serves lovely dishes from all over Greece, and Crete in particular, including a delicious apaki (Cretan cured pork), snails and more. Before you even order, you’re welcomed with a small glass of tsipouro (distilled spirit of grape must) with some olives and a tomato dip.
