I Sterna tou Bloumosifi

The old stone taverna I Sterna tou Bloumosifi has a welcoming tree-shaded courtyard garden and is known far and wide for its excellent Cretan cuisine. For starters try the gavros (anchovy) wrapped in vine leaves or the cheese-and-herb mushrooms, and then move on to the hilopites (fettucine-style pasta) with rooster. It has Cretan craft beer and a kids' menu, too.
