While so many of Agios Germanos's 19th-century stone houses are derelict, and/or housing goats, this delightful, heritage-protected homestead has been reborn as a truly beautiful and atmospheric hotel. Some of the 10 en-suite rooms have working fireplaces, all have traditional wood fittings and sensitively selected furniture, and a simple breakfast of homemade Greek treats is provided.
The kitchen turns out a few basic traditional dishes, chalked up on a blackboard each day (dinner per person is €12 to €15).
